The artist was introduced to photography and graphic arts by his father, in a France marked by the rise of Anglo-Saxon pop culture. He is fascinated by the dynamism of British rock’n’roll and the iconic imagery of American cinema. Patrick Rubinstein channels the monochrome glamor of the 50s, the kaleidoscopic pop universe of the 60s and the anarchic spirit of 80s street art. His work navigates between kinetic and optical art, offering the viewer a world where a humorous and positive atmosphere reigns.
Patrick Rubinstein’s collaboration with Galerie Montmartre spans a significant period, during which they launched several of his now iconic series, including the “Exception” and “Musée Imaginaire” collections.
